Made from multiple sheets of filter media, each pocket bag filter is assembled to form several "pockets" that capture particles. These filters usually have between 3 to 12 pockets, and the pocket length can vary. The different pocket numbers and sizes create a range of surface areas, where a larger surface area increases the dust-holding capacity and extends the filter's lifespan.
High efficiency pocket bag filters are available in two main materials: fiberglass and synthetic fiber. Fiberglass, the original material for these filters, is more durable and typically lasts four times longer than synthetic fiber. However, it may accumulate bacteria over time. Synthetic fiber, on the other hand, doesn't last as long as fiberglass but resists bacterial growth, making it more suitable for environments like hospitals and research centers where bacteria prevention is crucial.
These filters are ideal for HVAC systems in hospitals, laboratories, food processing areas, pharmaceuticals, server rooms, data centers, optical and electronic facilities, airport terminals, and other public buildings.
